How an address is issued in Missouri
Issued once, then it stops changing
A published address that moves is a broken link, a broken bookmark, and a broken sign-in destination. So the label is ISSUED and then recorded — it is not re-derived from the school’s name every time someone loads the page.
A rename does not move it
If a Missouri school is renamed the following year, its address is unchanged. The name it was issued under is not the thing the address is computed from once it exists, so the old links keep working and nothing has to be re-sent to families.
A late name collision does not move it either
Two Missouri schools can genuinely carry the same name, and the second one can appear years after the first. The school that was already addressed keeps what it has; the newcomer gets a distinct label of its own. Whoever was published first is never displaced.
One state, one root
An address under this root is composed from the school’s own state, so a Missouri school can only ever be addressed at missourischool.network. A school in another state gets that state’s root instead — there is no fallback root and no guessed one.

An address is a name, not a permission
This root answers exactly one question: what a Missouri school’s address IS. It never answers who may reach what is behind it. Access is decided somewhere else entirely, by an explicit grant, and having an address here confers none of it. We state that plainly because the opposite reading — that being listed is itself a key — is the one that would do harm.
An address says where a school is. It does not say who may look inside.

What this page does NOT claim is a finished directory: a Missouri school appears here once it has been issued an address, and a school that has not been issued one has no address here at all — we do not invent a label for a school in order to look complete. There is no count of Missouri schools on this page for the same reason.
